From an early age, I knew music was going to be an integral part of my life. Whether I’ve been on top of a mountain or stuck in a valley, music has been a constant. It’s been a reminder that I am never alone; a safe space that’s helped me to process and wrestle with my emotions. All I want is to help others experience the power of music in that same way.
My time at Ball State thus was nothing short of incredible. While no one expected or enjoyed the arrival of a global pandemic, COVID-19 gave me an opportunity to complete many projects that required flexibility and lots of “thinking outside the box”, all while continuing to push and challenge myself through coursework for my major.
When I’m not completing projects in the studio, I’m most likely watching anything and everything from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, carefully theorizing over what’s to come. Additionally, I am usually participating in some sort of activity or rehearsal with my a cappella group, Unexpected Resolution, or with the Association of Collegiate A Cappella. This organization has provided me some incredible opportunities to test my skills and my flexibility amidst a global pandemic.
